As a courtesy to Festool Owners Group members, a classified ads section is provided for selling, buying, or trading goods.

As a courtesy to all please put the word "SOLD" in the title of the topic when the item sells. It is suggested (not required) that sellers leave the selling price for items posted as a reference for others. This should in no way be taken as the FOG Classified board being an actual price guide for products or items listed for sale.

Members may use this section of the forum at their own risk.  Festool, its affiliates, and any other entity referenced herein are not responsible for the results of your use of this material.  It is the sole responsibility of the buyer to verify and make wise purchasing decisions.

Auctions may not be conducted on the forum. However, you can use a website that specializes in auctions and link to that from the forum. All other FOG Classified guidelines and rules still apply to these links. If these links are deemed excessive they will be removed as spam.

The forum and its Classifieds section may not be used as a "retail store" for the continuous selling of products. The forum administrator and moderators may remove posts of this type and/or block a member from using the Classifieds section.

No excessive thread bumping. Bumping  a thread means intentionally posting in order to have the thread displayed at the top of the new posts listing. This creates clutter and frustrates readers. Please do not bump a classified more than once per week and even less often is better. Preferably with the addition of a legitimate update, additional info, price change ,etc. This helps avoid forum clutter on the unread posts page for other members. People will have either seen the ad the first time or it will appear on the unread posts page for a member. It can become irritating to constantly have a classified popping up as new especially if several people are bumping ads.


We reserve the right to remove any threads in the Classifieds section of the forum without prior notification.

The following are a set of guidelines that should be followed when post in this section of the forum:

Festool dealers may only post personal property in the Classifieds Ads.  Please make any sales or marketing related posts in the THE SALES ZONE.

For Buyers and Sellers:
Below are some suggestions for buyers and sellers.  Note that the Festool Owners Group and Festool USA will not get involved in classified ad disputes -- buyers and sellers are on their own!

• Buyers and sellers are responsible for communicating the condition, age, and origin of listed items; availability of paperwork; making sure items match the ad description; original serial numbers, receipts, paperwork, and service or repair records.
• Buyers and sellers are responsible for confirming addresses, contact information, identities, and other relevant details needed when buying and selling goods.
• Buyers and sellers are responsible for confirming the timing, methods and other details of shipping arrangements.
• Do not post comments about classified ads in other forum boards.

Disputes, Issues, Comments, and Complaints:
If you purchased something from a classified ad and are unhappy with the transaction, do not bring the dispute to the attention of the forum administrator or moderators.  The forum administrator or moderators, will not mediate disputes between buyers and sellers. Disputes should be handled privately between members and not publicized on the forum. Any posts about a transaction dispute will be removed immediately.

In order to keep the classifieds section more organized and to encourage direct communication between potential buyers and the seller of items, we have made the following changes:

• When a thread is started in the Classifieds section of the forum, other forum members will no longer have the ability to reply to the thread.
• Parties interested in an item listed for sale should contact the seller via personal message (PM) or email, if the seller makes their email address publicly available.
• The original poster (seller) may, at their discretion, edit or reply to their own thread with additional information.

In the past, a seller had to monitor the thread for potential buyers which can be inconvenient, assuming they weren't aware of the ability to subscribe to a thread. We feel like these changes will improve the classifieds section and provide a better opportunity for members to sell their items.

All other guidelines provided in the previous post in this thread about the classifieds section are still applicable. If you have questions or need assistance, please contact myself or a forum moderator.

Please note that we have appended the forum guidelines regarding the Classifieds section of the forum.

Our intention is to give members a way to sell and buy items from each other. It is not intended to become a marketplace or store front, in essence. Therefore, moving forward, we will not allow members to use the Classifieds in that way. At our discretion, we will remove ads and/or block members from using the Classifieds section if it is used as a "store" to sell items in quantity.

We feel strongly that this is in the best interest of the forum, especially after recent feedback from the members.
