I'm curious if anybody has bought the abarasive promo pack with systainer and thought it was a good value? I'm considering for my ets 150/3 at 215$ its seems expensive.
I bought the promo pack when I bought my RO 125. The place i bought it from still had some left over from a previous promo. So i got the RO 125 and the abrasive kit for $500. The RO 125 was $395 and the Kit was $100. I think the kit retails for $150, so I saved money.
I think it is worth it.
When you buy the kit you also get a sample pack of abrasives as you would get with any sander purchase.

If you want to know if it's good value, just add up all the prices of the individual 50 packs and then see how it compares. By looking at the prices of online dealers, I'd say it's perhaps 5 dollar cheaper than buying it all separately. That's not much of a package deal.
Ya know I did the math and there is a savings but I don't see 50. Maybee I'm looking at it wrong.
I see 240 if you buy individually ( i made some division on the brilliant as I could only find 100 packs for the 220/320 paper and you only get 50 each in the pack) I guess 25 bucks is 25 bucks but I really don't see the need for that much 50 & 80 grit.
I would suggest getting a minimum package of 5 or a maximum pack of 10. Try them out and then decide. I bought a bunch of Rubin in a single purchase and wish I hadn't. IMO it wears quickly and gums up if you have any finish to sand. I know brilliant is recommended for material with finish and does work much better. I really like the the Cristal and brilliant for all of my sanders. Cristal doesn't seem to break down as quickly. I think in time, you will save money by trying out the small packs first since you won't be buying so many different grades and probably grits.
