Car dealers often don't make money on new cars regardless of trim level. They make their money on used car sales.
I half agree with festools pricing because their tools are cheaper here than in Germany or anywhere else for that matter. They do this to gain market share in our heavily saturated market. But I think they are taking it a little far on things that could be cheaper if shipped with the tools take the domino set for example it is $50 more for 2 accessories that on their own each cost $50 so they are over charging somewhere. I don't think apple's pricing model is even this bad.
