Accurate 0 degree cuts with TS55 req -

I just received a new TS55 REQ and haven't even cut the edge on my guide rail. Then again, I still haven't set up my MFT/3, fixed my squaring issues on my CNC, and a whole other host of projects, but I'll have to check this out when I make my first cut. When playing around with the TS 55, I noticed the bevel gauge and wondered if it might be an issue, but I'm hoping not. The whole point of this was to avoid a table saw and potentially a jointer at times. That said, much of my material will end up on the CNC where the edge isn't often touched anyway.

I know others have differing ways of doing things. Since replacing my jointer a few years ago, I always joint the edge after cutting. As for the TS55REQ, the bevel gauge seems to be a common problem experienced by users of the saw. I have set TS55 base exactly perpendicular to the blade (or at least as close as my eyes with allow after doing some test cuts), but I still joint the edges. It's just habit for me. Using the TS55 in the way described earlier in this thread is a great idea. If you cut two pieces butted together at the same time, they will always fit together regardless of the saw being at a perfect zero degrees or not. If you just want a square edge I would still say, use a jointer. For me, after changing the bevel angle on the TS55REQ, I still am uncertain enough that it will return to an exact zero, that I always test before making that assumption.

THEY'RE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The TSC 55 REB has adjustment screws. As a matter of fact there is one for 90º another for 45º. [thumbs up]

I did set the rear adjuster on my TS 55 REQ, not that bad to do. Cuts dead 90's.
