Adding a Protector to my RO125 Sander

I own an "old style" RO125 sander (2005?) and want to add a protector to save my pads.  I bought the protector #493-912, but it does not snap into place.  From some old posts, I will also need to purchase the housing #493-783, and a sealing rim #463-357 for this setup to work.

Has anyone retrofitted their RO125 sanders like this?  How difficult was it?  Also, where can I purchase these highly specialized parts?

Thanks,

I have done it, and, although I have a long experience with motors, etc, it was a little tricky. The tricky part was putting the light green head locking mechanism (described as the pusher in the parts diagram) back in with the spring in the right place.

(When I first reassembled it, there was this extra spring left over.)

BTW, I don't remember buying the sealing rim that you mention. I believe that I just re-used the original one.

Thanks for the feedback.  I'm so desperate to save my EXPENSIVE pads that I'm willing to chance "operating" on my RO125.
