Hi, if anyone has got any experience of having the ts75 in the cms module is it possible to rebate just by taking the guard of, when I try to do it the riving knife sticks up about 10mm above the blade. You can leave the original riving knife that comes with the ts75 in the saw but then the cms guard doesn't fit. I would really appreciate it if anyone could help.

So you got the idea  [cool]

Bazg the over head guard only works if you are cutting through all the material.  The riving knife that is supplied on the TS75 keeps the material separated (Spread) so it doesn't pinch and cause a

kickback  [eek]

You can use the tool without these safety devices but please use caution and common cense.  If you are unfamiliar with the use of a table saw then that is a different question.

My legal team will be in touch with a lot of paperwork for you to sign limiting me from all liability.

Cheers, Sam

Thanks Sam, but why can't you just drop the riving knife to the same height as the blade so you don't get kickback, and then you can cut rebates at the same time without the guard on. I know you shouldn't use a table saw without an over head guard but when your cutting rebates the blade is hidden for most of the cut.

Hey Bazg,

So the TS75 Module is not the same as a dedicated table saw.  The riving knife, overhead guard is a "add on" to the TS XX.  You may see the difference in some videos here.

This may help.
