I have just bought a load of Tulip wood it is 27mm thick. I want to rip it down with my TS55, I am going to buy a 20 tooth Panther blade. Just thought it might be worth checking with the good folks of FOG if this the right blade for the job or do you recommend another one.
Many thanks
Mick

The 12 tooth Panther blade leaves a pretty rough cut. You would need a jointer or other means of dressing the board, after straight edging.

Looks like they just call it a Standard 12 tooth blade now.

Instead of jumping from the finest blade to the coarsest blade I'd try the one in the middle first. The Universal 28 tooth blade.

Thanks for the reply. I agree a 12 tooth blade would leave a rough cut. But I can still buy the 20 tooth blade here in UK. Taking on board what you say I may be better to buy the 28 tooth blade. I do have a bandsaw to rip the boards down but I think the TS55 will do it straighter and quicker.
