ALIEXPRESS Update

Aliexpress stepped in after a seller lied to cover his track (arguing that I tampered with the product), and ruled in my favor within 24 hours after I escalated and provided photos showing the integrity of the item. This has been the second time I had to get Aliexpress involved since opening an Ali account as most sellers are reasonable.
One new online seller (Temo(sp.?)) bombards my phone with ads whenever I Google for tools.... I suspect that Aliexpress, Banggood etc. are facing a new aggressive competitor, and if they don't beef up their customer support, they're going to lose more customers and business.
I didn't take the click baits even though prices shown were like $0.1 for what should be $10 or more, but a friend insisted they were genuine, and goods arrived within a week or two as the free shipments came from within Canada. Amazon (Filled by Amazon) is facing more competition because of its success!

Slight annoyance but Alibaba is the B2B side of things. AliExpress is the retail side. B2B has all the contractual obligations, due diligence, negotiations, and paperwork you'd have to do with any wholesaler in the world. AliExpress is the Amazon/Ebay of China. And they will very often side with the customer.
If you get hosed on Alibaba, they really won't side with you unless clear laws are broken. You're responsible for specifying QA requirements, etc etc Don't ever mistake the two and buy from Alibaba because it seems to be a few bucks cheaper. Just a warning.

Over the years I have had relationships with several local entities that were Chinese owned and operated. Mostly Mom & Pop stores, but also two separate physicians. But despite having 100% satisfactory relationships with these companies, I find that I could not order from Alibaba. I am not certain what argues against my actual experience, but I don’t see myself ordering from Alibaba anytime soon.
