This is a built in that I finished today. I bet there are over 250 dominos in this thing. It was a big project, but somehow all of the dimensions just worked out perfectly (in my opinion). It consists of two four feet by seven feet side cabinets, and one centre cabinet 6 feet by 7.5 feet. I designed it, built it, built the doors, installed it, set the stone tile, installed the t.v., finished it. I really like the simple Shaker style doors in the off white.
This was my first project using the parallel guides and they are such a pleasure to work with. I purchased a ETS 150/3 for finish sanding between coats of paint. I also used my RTS 400 for sanding the face frames.
Today, for my next project, I purchased a RS2E. I think we are going to be great friends !
All of the cuts of the built in were made using my Kapex, and TS55. I used Benjamin Moore paint and the cabinets are made from birch plywood and American yellow poplar.
Every project is a learning experience. My face frames turned out perfectly, the crown turned out great using the Kapex and the crown stops. I will keep my disappointments and areas to improve to myself.
I look forward to any comments.
