I have never used my domino without dust extraction (I think I've seen some YouTubers do it (out of lazyness or just for a quick shot?) I suspect the risk of the 4mm cutter getting damaged is higher if it is used in hardwood milling without dust collection. The cutter is fragile and I broke one before.

That was my point, the Domino's are possibly the only tools I can think of that require a dust extractor when operated because of the risk of damage, so with the exception perhaps of tradies doing an install without site power using a cordless extractor, I just don't see any benefit to the DFC500 apart from the D handle for the vast majority of Domino users/buyers.

The nice thing about the DFC 500 having a D handle is now it feels the same in hand as the DF 700. So if your going back and forth you dont need to think about how to hold the different tools.

I have been using my DFC 500 since November, I never liked holding the DF 500 and I accidentally turned on my DF 500 many times while I never have this issue with the DFC 500.

Regarding cordless vs corded, that's personal preference. I don't like cords and prefer cordless tools. I can take my DFC 500 anywhere and use it without worrying about finding a plug, I do also have the CTC SYS and it works great with the DFC 500.
