I recently ran across carbide-tipped bits for the Domino that are manufactured by Amana and sold through Toolstoday.com and I was wondering if any of you have ordered or had experience with these bits? They are quite a bit less expensive than Festool bits so I was considering purchasing some of them to try.  A few examples are shown below:

Amana Tool #316024  6mm bit $27
Amana Tool #316022  5mm bit $25
Amana Tool #316036  14mm bit $33

There are bits that are made for the Domino 500 and the Domino 700.
On the Toolstoday.com website, they can be found under the "Boring and Drilling Bits" section.

Reply if you have had any experience with these cutters.

Bruce Richards

I have the 5mm and its worked well so far, dominos fit nice and tight. Longevity has yet to be determined, but for the price, these are worth giving a try. CMT also makes carbide tipped cutters. Both can be found on amazon as well.
