Amana saw blades

Hi,
I got a new Amana catalog as I love their counter sink, tool #55264. It's a quick change #8 carbide tipped counter sink. Just GREAT.  Any way they also have some scoring g blades with 20mm bore. They come in 100-200mm in diameter.                                                                                                                                                        I was just curious how the might work in a TS55 (or 75). I know they aren't designed for cutting per se. I know how we all like to look and think about different things and this probably isn't worth much thought.  The countersinks are though As I live 120 Miles from almost anywhere(except soon to be some great fishing) I will stick with my Festool blades

The TS 75 takes blades with a 30 mm arbor. 

Also did you notice that the Festool blade has a small rectangular notch in the arbor?

Most of Amana blades have a diamond shaped knock out. If you can find 30mm (or 20mm for TS-55) insert? theoretically you can use it. Hilti's blades have different inserts for different arbor diameters, but Hilti doesn't sell 160mm blades in US. Mafelle sells them, but price is comparable with Festool's price.  Amana blade's kerf is wider than Festool?s: 0.12? or 3mm. It will chew your splinter guard. As of today price/quality/convenience/compatibility for Festool's blades is the best.

The Forrest blades made for the Festool are nice and do go on sale periodically at Amazon.

I actually got this for 67.0 a few weeks ago.

I have an Amana 9" blade on my TS.  I bought it 20 years ago and have cut a ton of really hard wood on it.  Ebony, snakewood, zebrawood, R & W Oak, various maples, pernambuco, cocobolo  and other rosewoods, poplar, well you get the idea.

Great blade, let us know if you find one that fits.
