I've been testing a new tool out for one of the big tool companies for about two months now . I've not been allowed to write anything online about it but from this Wednesday I can reveal what it is and who makes it. I've been dying to post about it but couldn't as there is an embargo on it that I've had to sign up to.

On Wednesday I will post details of this new tool but feel free to guess what it is in the meantime.

By the way its not festool.

No not quite in festool league but its big at least I think so, its gonna cause a stir ;D

i think its a dewalt. should rock the boat a bit . or so iv been told.
i think it was revealed a wee bit in the states last week.
still cant find out any more

are we both talking about the same ground breaking tool .
at least you know what it is.

give us a clue.
is it a completely new tool (like the way the domino was) or a new take on an existing tool
is it a carpentry tool , tiling, demo work, etc etc

A robotic wife that agrees with everything I say?  That would cost way more than Festool!

Better hope the actual wife does not monitor the FOG to see what tools your are sneaking home...  [wink]

Fortunately, she doesn't even tread foot in the shop (garage)!

can i ask.
how would one go about becoming a tester  for these companies.

I have to have it.  Now, before I even know what it is.  That is...unless it's yellow.  I don't want any yellow tools.

I'm just lucky to get chosen I guess. I'm a member of another forum in the UK and they contacted me through that. They were looking for tradesman to test this new tool.

I honestly can't give any details until Wednesday, for all I know someone else here is testing it too.
