This has been my week for working under a black cloud.  Elsewhere I posted about an acrobatic cell phone and its ultimate departure from this electronic world.

On Tuesday I was cutting crown molding and made a cut and saw sparks, heard terrible sounds, and ran away from the saw.  The saw blade had cut into the metal base of my Hitachi SCMS.  I looked and saw that the metal casting that the stop bolt - which limits the depth of cut - had broken away.  The blade was trashed.

I needed to finish the job and luckily a local dealer had one Kapex in stock.  I had been planning to purchase one from an online dealer here in the near future, but I needed to finish.

What a sweet saw the Kapex is!  Finished up that job and moved on to the next.  This one I did it right with the Kapex inside and the CT-22 sucking dust.    Saved so much walking time.

I need to tweak the lasers a tiny bit, but other than that - WHY THE HECK DIDN"T I DO THIS EARLIER!

By the way, one of my upcoming projects needs to be a man sized doghouse.  Doubting spouse syndrome.  Anyone have plans?

It is called a workshop! If your in doo-doo you may as well be as happy as a pig in doo-doo! [laughing] [laughing]

Congrat's on the Kapex, it's on my list just under the OF2200.

Rob.

If, like me, you have a workshop away from home, be careful. I did such a good job of my man-sized dog house, that I eventually closed my "other workshop" and moved my business home.  [eek]

But, on the brighter side, I now at least have an excuse to "hide" when the wife-o-matic is in a bad mood  [big grin]

To be honest I don't how anyone can "just buy" a kapex but congrats. I know it's on my list and I'm saving hard for it.  Although I know it is going to take forever because I don't actually work a proper carpentry job. Its a long story but I'm not earning much.

What you need is an invsibility cloak or a fogtainer :)
