Another fix for slipping Domino fence

Here is a simple fix that I hope will keep the domino fence from slipping vertically.
I removed the tightening apparatus by removing the handle via the phillips head screw and then backing out the exposed hex-headed bolt. Then I applied double-sided tape to the fence followed by a  strip of 400 grit wet/dry sandpaper. I haven't had a chance to test it thoroughly but it seems to an improvement and can be easily removed/replaced should the need arrive. I did make sure that the lugs on the tightener did not "drag" in the released position so they they would not wear prematurely.
It goes without saying that this is probably not Festool approved but I think it is better than over-torqueing the tightening lever.

Nice fix!
I did basically the same thing.  I cleaned the metal ( same spot you put tape on) with denatured alcohol, then applied some 180 grit adhesive-backed sandpaper.  After some initial testing the fix seems to work beautifully and it does not require over-tightening the clamping lever.  The sandpaper does not interfere with the sliding of the fence when the clamping lever is loose so it should not wear out the metal clamping piece.

Of all the fixes I've seen for a sliding fence I like this approach the best.  It's quick, easy, and does not require irreversibly modifying or filing such a wonderful tool.
