Very sorry to hear the news. I had to put my service dog down 1.5 years ago and it still stinks. Prayers are with you and yours.

sorry for your loss.
In my life I've had 4 dogs pass over the years, I remember them all miss them all a lot. All German Shepherds all with very different loving characters.
Every time I hear/read of some one who has had a dog pass it just reminds me of all our dogs.
Recently we thought our dog wasn't going to be round much longer. He became ill very quickly and he wasn't him self any more.
Found out he has pancreatitis. Hes now on very low fat food. He has human grade chicken dinner cooked for him every night. Hes always been a very fussy dog. He wont eat when no one is in either he will wait till some one comes back home then he will go back and finish his dinner.
We believe steroids caused his pancreatitis. He was put on them for a short period but shortly after he got pancreatitis.
I make sure I give him a cuddle every time I see him just incase [sad].

I recently had to switch dog food for our dog. What I thought we were feeding her was good. Turns out she has a chicken and grain allergy. Now she eats an expensive food that's made from salmon and sweet potatoes. Losing a dog is not fun. Glad to hear a food change helped!
