Another home made sysports

Hello

After looking at many custom sysports built by FOG members, I've decided to show mine (lazy man solutions).

The first one takes 4 Sys2 + 16 SYS1s. Made from old server rack.
400mm full extension Hafele slides, 4 x 100mm 125 kg castors + few metres of aluminum angle.
I've slightly modified the frame - used to be vertical - got rid of few bits and rearranged it a bit.

My cost - about $300 +  few days of work.  
I found if extremaly useful - it doubles as assembly table, panel cutting table for my TS55 - I use sacrificial MDF tops.

The next one is made of 30x30mm 8020 profiles. I made it for SYS1s only, but the height of each shelve is fully adjustable.
In retrospect I regret making them adjustable - I will never change it.
Set on 4 IKEA 75mm castors. Very light and strong, and a bit expensive.

The third one I like most.  Again - old server rack as a base.
I made the shelves bit bigger, so i can fit other boxes - I have a number of Bosch L-boxxes
I love the looks of it - tempered glass lockable door

Nice job repurposing the old server racks.

For the horizontal rack, is the drawer just a frame of aluminum angle?

We just dumped 6 server racks after moving operations to a data center. Wish I had though of re-purposing the racks.  [unsure]

Angle, 25x12mmx1.5mm and 24x25, 2 rivets  in each corner.  I've made a jig to drill/assemble them quickly. Air riveter makes it a snap.
3mm angle would have been stronger. If they start bending, I will use 3mm. So far each hold 2 systainers OK.
As a handle I've used a cheap profile, called here  'rope track' fixed with 6 rivets to the front - made it much stronger too.

The slides are bottom mount, 4 M4 12mm decking screws hold it all together.

I wouldn't care about the fact that it locks, but the fact that it is closed might help keep dust out. That's a problem for everything in my shop!

Edit: Hmmm.... that gives me an idea. Dang you - another thing added to the project list.
