I was looking at various cutting board designs on YouTube when I came across this video.

Kapex is used repeatedly in the video and the final product is quite stunning for an end-grain cutting board! [tongue]

Kinda hard to do while stuck in Nigeria!  [crying].  Back in the USA on Sunday night....thankfully! [big grin]

"MTM" also has a festool sander of some sort which can be seen in other videos.

At least you have a good excuse!  I don't have one, lol! [eek]  I bet you'll be glad to get back.

I liked his clamping set up.  The PVC pipe is a great way to get clamps underneath.

"great minds".....    I thought exactly the same thing. No muss, no fuss [big grin]  And damn cheap to set up!

He has some sweet vids on building crazy 3D cutting boards.  There's a zig zag pattern one that is amazing. There's a lot of time involved in these little cutting boards.  I wonder what they sell for.

He sells them from his site in Russia. (Can be seen in English).  Shipping is prohibitively expensive, but you can see what he sells his cutting boards for....from the cheap easy ones, to the very expensive complicated models.

Go to:  3D CUTTING BOARD PRICES [scared]

There are other pages on his site that have prices for other models.

Frank

There are also videos where he mixes in some CNC work as well.

But back to Festool: I've noticed he likes to use Festool catalogs between his cutting boards and clamping cauls (e.g. his box of lead bricks).  I laughed the first time I saw this.
