I am going to buy the CT 22 this weekend and I would like to buy one of the cleaning kits so that I can kill 2 birds with one stone. I want the cleaning kit for: 1.) to be able to use the CT for cleaning purposes and 2.) to get the 36mm dia. hose so I can hook my Kapex up to the CT.
The universal cleaning kit is $140 and comes with a Non-Antistatic 36mm hose. The Trades/Installer cleaning kit is $205 (I think) and comes with a AntiStatic 36mm hose.
I would really like to save the money and buy the Non-Antistatic kit but I don't want to kick myself in the butt for buying the wrong one. Right now all I know about antistatic and non-antistatic is that it can prevent fires? My question is, what did people do for all these years before antistatic hoses came out? Do I really need one? Festool has given me so many hard decisions to make and it drives me nuts!
You know with my luck if I don't buy the antistatic hose I will have a fire.
I would like to hear some thought and experiences from either side on this matter.
Thanks.
