Well its almost 2020 and for one reason or another, festool, ofz all companies, must be using a outdated forum platform because i have noticed countless issues viewing this forum on my iphone X.  Glitch after glitch which makes the experience not so great.  Is there another way to view this forum on my phone without all these issues?  And the biggest one, not having to log on every single time i visit this webpage.  I’ve been to many forums, many of which are for much smaller companies, and yet they have a forum with no issues.    Festool should invest in this website since the online community is something they push when you buy a tool.  30 day return, 3 year warranty, etc, online community support.

Maybe Apple should make better software for their iPhone. Not a single hitch ever on my PC or Android phone.

A better way? Android & PC.

Are you using TapaTalk?

If not it’s worth a try.

LOL better? Don’t think so.

Using Tapatalk talk, no problems but also with Safari I have zero problems. iPhone X / 11 pro. I do suspect Tapatalk for injecting a lot of trackers.

However there are some problems opening a few topics. Already mentioned, a white screen. That’s on sever side

Make sure you are not logged in on your private tab and check the “keep login” checkbox.

I log in here on numerous devices and operating systems, without any issues.
It’s all fine for me.

Why not?

Server side? How so? Never on my devices.

Funny thing, whenever somebody complains about something not working on the internet, they're on Apple devices. Apple is way too restrictive.

Apple can't even get simple pic rotation after all these years, their closed box software creates many issues in the free open platforms, LOL.

Wow, really? What you talk about? I can rotate my photos just fine.

Google is in business of gathering and selling your information, Apple is in the business of selling h/w.

On top, updates are a hit and miss on Android (vendor depended). And don't get me started about Windows.

Maybe the white-screen issues where on tapatalk. Cant find the thread :/

Not saying Apple is perfect, but as an ecosystem, its pretty good.

And you really don't think Apple isn't using that info, wake up and smell the coffee, they are one of the best manipulators out there and a small player like they always have been.

Yes, they use it. But, they don't sell it.

And what you think Google does? Fined for billions... Talking about manipulators....

Ignorance is bliss for those who don't know how to use a specific operating system (iOS, Windows, OS X, Linux, etc). Keep telling yourself it is the other guys equipment that is the problem if that works for you.

Guess I'm too old fashioned.  I like big screens rather than phones so I use a Windows PC for forums.  No glitches here with one exception.  There is one thread about MFT hinges that stopped opening for me.  That is the only glitch I've encountered since I joined.

Pal you really should read what your typing, I never implied or said anything about Google, Microsoft etc. I know exactly what's going on with all these companies including Apple and actually understand how the manipulation works. You can believe anything you want about Apple, a lot of us understand reality and vortex that Apple users get sucked into.

There are plenty of Apple users on the FOG.

I am sure the OP would appreciate some help and advice on getting things to work smoothly. As opposed to a debate on technology companies. The debate is fine in and of itself, but probably won't help solve the OP's glitches.

I don't have any Apple products and can't help much in this particular area.

What have other members done to resolve issues when using an iPhone on FOG?

I use an iPad Pro and iPhone XS Max with no problem.  Try going into settings under safari and deleting all website data and restarting phone.  You will need to log back in to whatever forums you visit.  As someone else said, click the box for stay logged in.

Thanks for some of the input, i will try tapatalk.  Im sorry for my original post, i was very frustrated at the time.  Go to click on a topic and it selects a different one, when you scroll it goes all over the place, and many others.

It seems to me that the best forums are the ones that have websites to adapt to iphones and tablets automatically and thats what festool should look into, rather than using a completely separate app.

But jokes aside, festool really needs to update this site and get rid of the bugs to stay true to what they always say, faster, easier, smarter.

Also, i use to be really into festool 15 or so years ago, had dozens of their products but for financial reasons i had to sell everything and get out of the hobby.  But now im back and starting my collection all over again.  I remember back in 2008 or so, i was apart of this forum under a different user name, its been so long since i used it that i think they deleted it, but Festool purchased this website off the person that originally put it up and fast forward to today, it doesn’t look like anything has changed.  Nothing.  Point is, whatever platform they are using has to be very, very, outdated and why people see these bugs.

Well I've posted over 6500 times within the last 5 years. If I had any serious issues, my posts would more likely be in the less than 500 range.

I use exclusively Apple devices, specifically an iPhone 6s, an iPad, an iPad Air, a MacBook Pro and an iMac. I've had no issues with posting or reading anything on this forum as long as this forum is up & running. However that's another discussion.

On the Mac OS devices they allow me to remain plugged into this forum 24/7.

On the iOS devices I'm only allowed to remain plugged in for 120 minutes, even though I check the "Always stay logged in" box. So if I happen to be using one of these devices I need to re-log in continually.

I do agree that some things on this website are quirky and some updating should be done. There should be no reason for me to personally reduce the size of every photo I take. This should be part of the forum software.

I think that glitch affected a lot of people.

OP- just so you know you aren't crazy, I have the same glitch with my apple phones.  I've been using the forum since 2007 and primarily with iphones- probably 5 different versions of them.  I get the annoying screen that jumps all over the place and sometimes can't click on a  specific link-another one three lines away opens instead.  It's intermittent now, but still happens and is still annoying.
