Im just wondering if weve had any user reviews on this tool yet? It looks promising although having to carry 2 chargers could be a pain, surely a dual charger station would be a better solution.
Also you would need 4 batts for back up, i dont own any cordless saw but this has me intrigued...

I've just got one together with a BHC 18 (SDS) and a PDC 18/4. In total I think I've got 4 batteries and 3 chargers. The advantage of the TS55 (IMHO) is that you can use just one battery if need be. If you've only got two batteries and want to use both then just top them up when you aren't using the saw as the Li-ion batteries don't suffer from memory effect and can be recharged even when only partially discharged. If as you say there aren't any reviews maybe I will try and do one, although mine is going to be used primarily when fitting on site as I've just upgraded my table saw to a Felder KF700S and can now rip down 8 x 4 sheets on the saw which I previously did with my corded TS55 and a 2700 rail. My only initial disappointment - which I was aware of before buying the kit, is that the batteries don't have built in battery indicators which I'm used to with my Hilti Li-ion batteries.

If you're a heavy user you will end up with at least two chargers and four batteries. It's a modular system and the new Flexi 18 pricing is reasonable (at least here in Oz it is relative to the general pricing).

It's easier if you're committed to multiple cordless 18V Festools.

I'm very happy with mine for hobbyist use, but as others have pointed out if you need this for a full day of work you will benefit of extra batteries and having second set on charge at all times.

You can use it with a single battery, but I've got the luxury of having full batteries whenever I need it for the few cuts I do at a time so haven't tried it on wood with a single battery. Runs butter smooth on dual batteries and has more than enough power. Dust collection is amazing with the dust bag it comes with thou you will need to empty it every so often and connect it to your VAC to work just like with a normal TS55.

Only thing I'm not too happy with this one is that the positioning of the batteries make the handle area feel rather crowded, but it still works.

I guess nowadays an ideal combo would be to have a TSC55 for handheld work and a TS75+CMS-TS75 for table operations (or a CS70 if you can afford one).

I'm toying with the idea of getting the BHC 18v rotary hammer drill, TSC 55 could be in my future as well, so I'll have the Carvex 420 PSC with accessories, PDC 18/4 set XL may as well get the 3/8 socket set adaptor to and a centrotec 1 set, BHC 18v, TSC 55, a couple of Syslite vers 2, then basically be a cordless monster setup for emergency use if we get hit by a northern tsunami here in Copenhagen...They need to make a cordless coffemaker though, with built in water purifier...

A few of us have joked about a cordless coffee maker in various threads - but I think something that could blast out a couple of fresh cups of espresso from a cordless pack would be far more useful than yet another job site radio!! [wink]

Fresh cups of expresso could be a lifesaver in an emergency first response situation for sure...A welcome additional tweak to the system could be a coffee cup with a festool green band that glows in the dark with a non tipable form, a mft dawg that sits on the cup bottom that attaches to the MFT table top or  T nut on the side of the cup that fits the V groove could add additional security if the going got rough..

I like to always use the 2 batteries & have the max power on the TSC. Its a beautiful saw & really is quick (in & out of box & out the door) but when doing a lot of cutting i would need 5 batteries & another for my BHC! I feel if you go for this saw then you have to commit to further cordless products or more batteries. If not then the REQ is the same & go with the power corded version. I committed to cordless because i work home & abroad & with the different power plugs & adapters i find it easier to go cordless for about half my tools, solves a simple problem & time. As for the cordless coffee/expresso machine, lads that genius[emoji1][emoji477]️
