Any news on an impact driver?

At the Roadshow in Louisiana last Fall I was told that an impact driver would be out this spring, and possibly sold in a kit with an updated drill.

Is there a holdup?
Any updates you can share?

We can’t share anything until it’s been officially announced. However, we should be able to share something sooner than later. (FWIW, if someone mentioned this spring, that would have been more speculation than official word.)

I recently purchased the Makita 4-speed quick-shift. This has made using an impact driver fun. I’m even finding myself grabbing it instead of my drill/driver to drive in
any screws. Hopefully Festool will incorporate similar smarts in their impact.
