Looking for someone that owns both and wants to fix Makitas engineering mistake. I want 1 piece that replaces the factory black Makita dust port. It comes out easily with only 3 screws. I want to replace it with a 3d printed part that will fit directly in the clear plexi cover and comes out to a festool clean tec style fitting so the festool hose will lock on. basically it will be the same from the tool end to the elbow and then it probably just needs a couple more degrees of bend and a be a little longer with the twist lock style like you find on the sanders. Willing to pay for this and there should be a pretty good market for said item after since this is a big PITA for users of this tool. If you have this tool you know how great it is and how $hi*y the dust port is. I DO NOT want an adaptor that fits on the black port. It should be all one part that replaces the factory black port.

not sure how, if I do any overhead and have the weight of the hose pulling down like when cutting open a ceiling the hose seems to pop off about 500% easier than it goes on [scratch chin]. Wall work, yea it stays on longer but ceiling work makes me [censored]
its a great tool very little dust. you cant get into corners and the port is shlt design but hopefully that gets sorted out sooner rather than later. I am going to get a 3d printer at some point but I just have to much on my plate right now to deal with it.
I really like the saw. These are the two things I have found that work well for me. I use the Festool 495019 21.5 mm x 5m Hose HSK. I screw the hose directly into the Makita dust fitting. The hose is very light and nimble and has not pulled out yet. My other option is to use an "old style" Fein step adapter that is trimmed down at on end it works with my Fein vacuum hose or my Festool vacuum hose. I prefer the first option because it does not even feel like there is a hose on it.

I have the saw but don't have a 3D printer so no help here.
Great little saw for exploratory work where you have to keep it clean.
If somebody decides to run a batch of new hookups I'd be in for a couple.

With afish help, a 3d printed adapter to replace the regular one is now available on printables.com. It connects directly to a 27mm cleantec hose.

Thanks again to Gwendal, for his help on this part. It has made the makita drywall saw much better to use. The hose is never going to pop off there accidently again. I have been cutting open a lot of ceilings lately so the timing was perfect. Now I just need to come up with an extension handle so I can cut ceilings with out a ladder. Makita missed that opportunity
