Any suggestions for a cabinet hardware jig

Hey guys, I'm in the market for a cabinet jig to simplify installations of pulls and knobs.  Anyone have one they like?  I was considering the True Position 1934.  It's $160 which is fine if it's well made and works.  Thanks in advance.

i had a set(whole kitchen) of fancy pulls to fit. there was no room for error. the part around the bolt was shockingly small .

i made a jig out of plexi and used my vix bit to mark the holes. drill two hole in the right place and attach a piece of timber to the side to locate the jig.

save your 160 dollars for some cool aid.

Though I cant stand rocker, they do make pretty  inexpensive and  good jigs and not to expensive either. Since its for only one kitchen this should do it

I'm looking for something to use for many years.  A quality tool.  Reliable.  Adjustable.  Like a pc Festool would offer.

Precision Casewerk. Dont own one, but used BuilderBobs and it is real easy to use and very accurate. Maybe he will chime in as i know he is thrilled with it, Eric

I don't have a True Position 1934.  But, I have an Align-Rite Jig and used it for the last five years or so and has worked very well for me.  Solid made tool, uses center-marked aluminum blocks with hardened steel drill bushings and steel drill rod with socket head capscrews to hold position.   $100 less than the True Position.  

The Align-Rite does not have built-in measuring scales and that might be a drawback to some.  The True Position jig looks to be quicker for setup and maybe easier to hold when drilling.  But, that is a guess on my part.

Thanks Scott.  That looks simple enough.  I don't need a bunch of crap on it for measuring.  Just something I can set up and use.  Flip over for left and right hinge doors, etc.  For that price I think I will try it.

Well I ended up purchasing the True Precision guide from Amazon.  Rec'd yesterday.  First impression is this is a very well machined, quality tool.  I have a kitchen of hdw to install this afternoon so we will see how it functions in the field.

I use the Euro Jig. It runs around $50, I think.
I would have bought the True32, but it only goes to 10" centers.

If you are talking about the euro jig "handle-it",I also use it.For the price,it is a great jig.

Jeff, I'm curious on your feedback on the True Position!  I have had one for about 2 years and I LOVE it!!  As soon as I saw their video (that looks like it was shot in the 80's) I knew that was the jig for me!  I install cabinets about 80% of my working time. The scales are helpful and accurate!
