I almost ruined a high gloss panel today because i think there is a loose connection in the plug it end of the cable.

i agree it is awkward to get in. I also thing the dust port is badly designed, if it went straight back or even angles up a little then it wouldn't make the hose bind in the rail of work piece as much

Use your left hand to connect the plug.
Trust me, this works perfectly.

Plug it cords eventuall wear out - since I always use the same ones. When they start dropping out or whatever I just grab a new one. I think it may be more complicated in the US as they aren't all the same??
