I have seen some older posts about people waiting for it, but haven't seen much feedback on the new 40V Miter Saws from Makita.

Would love to hear feedback from users, as I am thinking of one of these, or a Kapex 120 (I know, the 120 isn't cordless).

Cheers

I've seen a few facebook comments that it works fine. However, I could not find a detailed review. We eagerly await. Thanks.

I believe Scott Brown got it and was praising it on the tube some time ago.

He has a Kapex for reference, but still should be taken with a bit of salt. As a builder he is not (too) demanding of his tools on the precision side.

You almost never acknowledge or reply to any comments or advice - apart from one of mine which you kindly called ‘refreshingly honest’. Please therefore consider this as a continuance.

Your original hit-list (IIRC) was;

STM1800
TS55 + huge rails - or maybe TSC55
Conturo
Sys-Vac
MFK700
DF500
Or maybe shorter rails
Drill bits, but no drill
Lamello P2 Zeta - or not, because Peter Millard didn’t read the manual and blamed the tool for his projects falling apart because he was using totally the wrong connectors
A 40-kg-when-full CT36 on a shelf or hung from the ceiling
Kapex 120
Makita 40v cordless

In other posts, you say you have a pile of Sys3’s and Sortainers (where from and what’s in them?) plus various TSO parallel guides (what are you using them with?) but you’re now wondering about Milwaukee packouts instead, despite everything on your list coming in a Systainer. You’re in Ireland and it’s always raining, and you plan to earn a living making panel-based wardrobes which most folks will go out and buy from IKEA for pennies.

No-one on here has the faintest idea how to react to your ongoing posts or how to help you. We don’t know if you’ve actually bought anything or built anything yet. Try and make it easier for us.
