Anyone find a Kapex depth limit cure?

Thought I'd put my new (31 day old) Kapex to work cutting 3/4" trenches in 3"x3" stock only to find that its depth limiter won't allow trenching that far up off the table. What? Bummer! Other "lesser" saws I've used and owned have had no problem delivering.  Since I often employ trenching in a lot of my projects, I'm really very disappointed. Wish I had discovered this shortcoming a few days ago...

Has anyone come up with a workaround "cure" for this design flaw?  Thanks for your assistance.  Joel

I experienced this limitation on a job last week.  I could not find a solution except to take my Hitachi SCMS to the site. I hope someone can provide a way around it.  I much prefer using the Kapex!

So what is the highest setting for trenching on the Kapex? I agree and would like the flexibility other saws provide for trenching.

This is the one thing I dislike about the Kapex, Ive run into this need on more then a few occasions. Cannot figure out why the engineers limited the saw like this  [blink]

Post removed? Now that is not nice. I guess it sorta like the saw in the CMS issue here in North America.   Is there a link you could send me to that will elaborate on this?

I just pulled my Kapex out to check the maximum setting. The highest I could set the depth limit left 1  5/8"  of material from the bottom tooth to the table surface.
