In the absence of a decent drawer system from Festool / Tanos, and the Milwaukee drawers being far too bulky and heavy I have come across the Sortimo WorkMo - see below link:

Sortimo Drawers

These are pricey, even for Europe, and this would be a big decision for me to buy. However, I am spending far too much time with trips to and from the van to retrieve a tool.

Anybody have anything from Sortimo? I would expect good quality given the asking price!

Just curious, as I have been back and forth between systainers vs packouts (I currently have both and want to waddle down to one system).

Why do packout drawers not work for you b/c of their size?

What is wrong with:

Tanos T-LOC SYS-Sort IV/3 systainer, Anthracite

I've been planning on getting one for a while now.

At a 70mm inside height they do not hold many power tools. Great for lots of other things.

The older Classic style Sortainers large drawer has an 85mm inside height. Just enough to hold many drills, jigsaws, etc. Still won't take bigger power tools though.

In the risk of sounding stupid - did anyone consider using the SYS-AZ for a lightweoight ply-based mobile setting, Sortimo-style?

The Systainers (T-Loc specifically) are extremely space-efficient compared to a Sortimo that space efficiency could be comparable while the option to take the systainers off on a cart can make it even more compact where applicable.

Just wondering.

Need to store drill drivers, drill bits, squares, various other layout / marking tools, mitre glue.. things like that. It's not really the van is the issue, more being able to bring tools on-site. I think a stack of sortainer / 3 with an open top toolbox on top might be a good idea, as suggested above

Sys-AZ wastes 80mm depth.
Good point.

Reminds me that someone was mentioning some BLUM slides that go +37mm beyond the "front". Anyone remembers what type it was?

I mentioned those. Will look them up again.

I had 1 Sortimo Lbox, didn't like it. The top is not flat ,plastic is slippery.
Only reason I can think of to consider them is if you have a lot of Bosch tools, or if you already own the vehicle rack stuff.
When I saw 1 of my brother in law's had 1 too, a Stihl branded one, which I think is for storing garden equipment-accessories, I gave mine to him, so at least he can stack them.
