Just wondering if anyone has sucsessfully changed the calibrated tape on the UG stand to imperial ? I dont need a lecture on the superiority of the metric system,I already know, but I work in North America, with other people sometimes , and we hand cutlists to each other , shout out measurments and call each other names, and I cant imagine constantly dividing and multiplying everything by 25.4 .So ...anyone ??  Also, to any UG users, how are the extensions for supporting wide pieces ? they look a little narrow, is the work support over 6" ,sorry, 152.4 mm wide ? The UG looks great for transport and protection as much as anything , although I have never liked the idea of 3 separate contact points on the ground, I like to be able to grab the mitersaw stand myself or with another person and move it quickly ,without disassembling, but I think I could get over that for the convenience of the calibrated stops, but the metric tape ?? Thanks for any input ...

This is Luke of LCC INC. The first thing I did when I got the ug stand was put a Imperial tape on both wings you need a right to left reading tape & a left to right reading tape. And have no problems,if your a little off on calibration you have some adjustment with the lower bracket that holds the extension wing to the Kapex saw. You can take the metric tape off or go right over it.

Thanks Luke,  good to know you can fine tweak the calibration.. were you able to get tapes to fit the smaller slide out extensions as well (I dont know how much clearance there is ?) ?

Plenty of clearance. But if worried about it just take off the metric tape. I just tried the imperial tape first (before you peel and stick) ito see if It had clearance .
