Applying Rubio Monocoat with random orbit sander and rubio applicator pad

Hi!

I saw some people applying Rubio monocoat with a random orbit sander and was wondering about the exact process. I think the idea is to use a 125 or 150 sander with a protection pad and a Rubio applicator pad (Link). Is anyone here doing that? Can you talk about the exact process?

1. the Pads are 4x6. So they are undersized for both 125 and 150. is that a problem? Or are there other pads that I am not aware of?
2. Do you reuse the pads or is it for one time applications?

Use the white Vlies on the RO125 or 150. This is done using the rotary mode, not the random orbit. The pads will not be able to be reused. Be sure to spread out the oil prior to using this method.

I did a countertop with Rubio. Poured a small pool or line, spread it around well with a cloth, buffed it to spread it more and even it out with RO150 in polishing / Rotex mode using a sheepskin padhttps://www.festoolusa.com/accessory/202046---lf-stf-d-1502#Overview

I don't think I used random orbit though. Might work but probably slower.
