Are Festool Classes Recorded?

Like I said, Maybe Im lucky with so many resources close at hand.

I'm going to chance a guess that with the vast size of our country there are many (most?) people that are about as far from trained Festool dealers as I am so making the training available on-line or via DVD would be appreciated by many.  No doubt Festool marketing has done analysis & I would be surprised if sales to students that attend the current training classes doesn't spike after each class.

My impression is that the knowledge of the Festool instructors far exceeds the knowledge of the retailers, as far as product usage is concerned.

I agree with your comment for most retailers.  But when you find retailer with a employee that owns several Festool tools. You have found nirvana.

I'd have a tough time working in a retail tool store. I'd be looking at or playing with some tool or product all the time. If I worked for Atlas Machinery, every waking minute I'd be doing something else other than my assigned work. I'd probably be fired within the first week.

That has been my experience.  Back when I bought my first Festools I drove to a big brick & mortar store to buy ~$3,000. worth of Festools.  I'm quite certain that I was more familiar with the Festool line than the store clerk (believe me I didn't know much).
