ATF 55E Track Saw Dust Port Question?

I just purchased an older Festool track saw, model ATF 55E. What hose should I purchase to fit in the elongated dust port? Are the tool ends of Festool hoses pliable enough to fit both circular ports and the old elongated ports?
Thanks,
Jamie O

I'm no expert, but in the picture you linked to, the hose attachment looks like the normal Festool hose end. I think it's the 27mm. I think the part referred to in the review you linked to is the diverter, which I believe is always removed before hooking up to the dust hose.

With the ATF 55, the hose end of the 27 mm hose (which comes standard with the vacs)  will fit inside  the oval opening on the saw.

(The newer saws have a round connection where you  can either use the 27 mm or;  the 36mm, which goes OVER the round dustport)

Thank you Frank-Jan. This is the info I was looking for. It sounds like the tool end of the Festool hoses are pliable. (It's hard to tell in the photos.)

The 36 mm festool hose, which has a slightly flexible hose-end won't fit the atf 55.

There is a reducing sleeve with partnumber 768135 (which I cannot find on the festoolusa site, but it might be possible to order anyway) link

It has the tool-end of the 27mm hose and fits inside the tool-end of a 36 mm hose, it might be compatible with other hoses aswell.

The standard festool hoses will work without modification with a lot of other vacs aswell, for instance, I have a hitachi and a spit(starmix) vac, to which their standard hoses attach with a bajonet-type lock to the vac, but the festool hose fits inside the hose-attachment to the vac no problem.

There's also a non AS (anti-static) version available of the hose, wich has the same tool-end, but is a bit less expensive. Link (The 3.5 m is the standard length, and matches the powercord length)

Thanks Frank-Jan.
It was nice of you to provide such thorough info. That answers all my questions.

Just for future reference, if anyone searches... the 36 mm hose CAN be used with the atf55..., just slide it over the rubber chipdeflector that comes with the saw.
Found this out a few weeks ago, when I forgot to bring the 27mm hose to a job.

I only use 36mm hose with the atf 55.  I have found that a wrap of 1" masking tape around the saws dust port helps to keep the hose from slipping off.
