Attachment that not everybody know is in the market for OF 1400 & OF 1010 and its made by FESTOOL
here is the link of the video I made  ( excuse my broken english :)  )

Thanks for posting the vid... [big grin]

Just last week I purchased the items to use on my 1010...works really slick. I think Festool should promote the items more because of how well they work.

I like it, a lot. Thanks I never saw that accessory. And your English was fine for me.

And that particular accessory is perfect in conjunction with the handle type shape of the OF1400. Not sure how I missed this accessory.

Thanks for posting!  I totally didn't know about this - not sure how I missed it because I've been looking for a good solution for a while.  It's expensive, but that's kind of a given.

Nice review. I was wondering how those worked with the 1400. Many have said they thought the 1400 was too big to use that way and was prone to tipping, ruining the face. But it looks like you handle that thing pretty well. Only issue I see is the missing chip deflector.

Yes, but I am sure those comments were about using the OF1400 on its side on its own without this accessory. That's the point of this accessory, it makes the OF1400 stable and safe while used on its side.

For similar functionality, Fastcap just came out with a nifty device for $35:

Thanks , that doesn't look to be quite as stable as the Festool version, but the price is right.

Thanks mate. Yep didn't know about it and now I do. Unfortunately more stuff now added to my to-buy list!  [tongue]

Cheers.

Thanks for the video.  I love the edging plate, and have it almost permanently attached to my 1010.

Clever solution by fastcap. The one major advantage to the festool edging plate is that you're not limited to bearing guided bits, and so could use it with a dovetail bit, for example, to make sliding dovetail joints.

Festool really should offer the edging plate, angle arm, and dust shroud as a set, though. I know the angle arm can also be used with the copier/sxanner, but most ppl get it for the edging plate.

Nice review and your English is fine.  I have this setup for the 1400 but always felt it would be better with the lighter 1010.  I purchased a Lamello Cantex years ago so haven't used the Festool attachment in a very long time.  Actually, I forgot I had one until you posted your review.

Thank you for the video. I knew about the attachment but don't recall having seen it in a video. Your video answered my questions about it.

Wow this is the first time I see that machine. I knew about lamello but I didn't know about the cantex. How much is it?

The Cantex is very expensive, but very, very nice. I have the cheaper, but still excellent quality, Virutex edge lipping planer. Great tool, gives an amazing finish.

Excellent video - I have these accessories for my OF1010 but did not know how useful they can be for 'heavy duty' trimming.  Thanks again.  Your English is fine.  You should hear my French - now that's something to apologise about!

Thanks  Mkholdings  Now I'm out $120 :-/ [unsure]

Seriously though, nice video.  If anyone is looking for them, the two pieces arehereand here
