Hi,

I am trying to buy something (wetstone sharpener) from Rockhampton Masters, and they don't deliver. There is no stock in any other Masters either, and they are not replenishing it.

I was wondering if anyone in Rockhampton would mind picking it up from there, and I could organise freight from your place to mine? It is the size of a bench grinder, and approximately 11kgs in weight.

You wouldn't need to pay anything - I would pay online for the product, you collect it from Masters, then I would pay online for the freight.

Thanks!

WOW!! [eek]

That's cheap for a wettie!

Just one replacement stone for my Tormek costs double the price of that [crying]

Sorry I can't help from Sydney [wink]

Yes, it is a rebranded Sheppach Tiger (which is available for $220).

I can get probably another 15% off as well.

I am just getting into some planes and chisels, and can't really justify the Tormek T4, and by the time I pay for 2 Japanese Wetstones and a flattener I'm already at $200.

I went crazy and got the big Tormek and three different sets of accessories ($2K+). Haven't used the drill sharpening jig, haven't sharpened any of the house knives. You're going down the smarter path!

I got a Tromek many moons ago with all of the accessories that went with it.  I used it a few times.  enough to need to square up the stone a couple of times.  Finally started experimenting with diamond stones and finishing off with Arkasas & J. wet stone.  Found it was far less hassle, less water on the bench and just as quick as using the Tormek.  I do use it for sharpening knives, so it has not been a complete loss.
