Maybe I'm crazy, but this always drives me nuts. Cutting sheets with the tracksaw, then domino, then come back with the finish sander. BOOM! too much suction! Dial it down, now when going back to the tracksaw dust shoots everywhere because the suction is too low. Yeah... I get it... stop being stupid and just turn the knob. That happens too... :) But ;) Nobody is perfect, and it is a nice to have, not a requirement.

I'd like the tool to be able to communicate with the CT to tell it how much suction it draws.
Maybe a dip switch type thing could work... For instance, finish sander is level 1 and Rotex and routers can be level 5.

I think the jump to bluetooth makes this the next logical step.

And while we're at it, a full light on the CT would be nice.

If a dip switch would work, how about a rotating dial on the front?

This is a good idea. It would probably take a revised BT module (the piece that plugs into the CT) to accomplish this.

I would like to see a BT remote with a wrist strap or be able to remove the hose strap and attach a wrist strap, elastic or something else, and have a dedicated OFF button plus a button that would toggle through 4 or 5 settings. When the CT is turned OFF, it would restart by a press of the ON button and the same speed it turned OFF at, but subsequent presses of the ON button would step up to the next level then back to 1 and keep going, maybe with a feedback beep to indicate the level. Maybe 5 levels is too many, I don't know, just throwing that out there as a starting point.

I would guess the dip switch would be on the tool, and left on te setting you use the vac with it.  [wink]
