I thought someone (maybe Paul Mercel) had posted at one point about using an RO-90 to remove some rust from the inside of a car, but I can't find the post via the search function.

In any event, I'm getting ready to start a complete rebuild on a '69 Camaro, and will be removing most of the original paint/primer, and also working on some areas that have surface rust.  Has anyone used any of the Festool sanders/abrasives for these tasks?  The Festool UK site has some info on automotive uses for the RO-90 and Granat, but I wanted to see if anyone here had some real-world feedback.

You should use an angle grinder with a wire brush to remove rust from a car. With rust it is very important you remove everything of it or it will return. A sander doesn't have the deep penetration of a wire brush.
