I have been playing with a piece of veranda and it works well but wanted to know the difference between the veranda compared to the azek and koma pvc trim. The veranda is half the price of the azek.

I don't know Veranda and haven't used Azek in several years.  Koma is my plastic of choice (when I use plastic).  Koma sands like wood.  Some plastics scratch, but do not sand.  Koma is homogenous throughout.  Other plastics, when ripped expose a foam core.  Koma is the same product all the way through.  Lastly, my favorite vendor stocks Koma as their plastic trimboard.  If there was a plastic that people know of that was more dimensionally stable for long pieces, I would consider other products.

i have to say that in my experience Azek is not the most consistent product. there is too much variance in the finished product.  board thickness and overall dimension issues have popped up from time to time for me. a 1x12 is not the same from order to order. $.02
