Bad Rotex switch??

Have had my 6" ROTEX 150 (the latest model) for about 3-4 years and it's seen moderate use.  Lately, the power switch seems to not want to stay locked in the "on" position.  It seems to be slipping out of position and shuts the sander off by itself.

Anybody else have a similar problem?

No, my Rotex's switch seems to be working fine after a few years of moderate use. Call Festool's service center sometimes they have solutions that they can talk you through over the phone.

BTW, we've got a section on the forum specifically for questions like this, Festool tool problems.

Will do.  Thanks.

On any tool, switches are often the first things to give problems. It's because they're used a lot and mostly made out of plastic and springs, a combination that will fail eventually. Nothing to worry about and nothing out of the ordinary. Just send it in for repair.
