Well I finally getting somewhere on my customers bamboo kitchen remodel. Made up 3/4 panels and glued them to the bar using urethane foam type adhesive from gun. Thought the bench cookie clamps worked pretty well to hold in place. Posting the before and after images of the corner cabinet. It had a real pathetic small door, took down cabinet, cut it open with TS55, refaced with bamboo veneer and built new doors, looks much better now. Glass in doors has a microdot finish so it is not clear. Cutting out the 3/8 groove in the back of the door was tricky as bamboo splinters like crazy. No problems though just used a bearing bit and climb cut the door on the CMS taking small cuts at a time.

thx

That's a beautiful job!  I really like the look of that bamboo.  The clear cabinet front dresses it up a lot more.

Tell me, how do you secure your Bench Cookie Clamps?  Is that center rail they are screwed to secured at the ends?  That looks interesting.

Thx for the compliments. The centre strip is just 1/2 baltic birch glued and screwed in place. It with be tiled over shorly. The bench cookies stay it place just by pressure from the 3 1/2 inch screw pulling against them.

Bamboo is all plyboo, purchased a combination of 3/4 3ply for flat doors, sheet of solid edge grain for glass doors and to rip down into 1/8 strips for door edges. 1/4 inch for kick plates and veneer for refacing.

thx

Nice job too, I really need to talk someone into having something in bamboo so I can have a play with it.
