The Bosch has an integrated handle. I figured to install the panel just below the handle. The electronics are accessed from the interior. I have used the mounting-tape-plus-adhesive technique in the past. I used E6000, which is a styrene based clear flexible adhesive that resembles silicone adhesive on steroids. It does exceptionally well on non-porous surfaces. The mounting tape takes the place of the clamp, holding the panel in place until the adhesive sets up.
I am probably not going to do this. The dishwasher is now 6 years old and I’ve been told by a GE service person that the current generation of applicants are designed to last 6 to 8 years.
He said, “Why should an appliance last longer than a car”? And I replied, “I use my car every day, and my washing machine once a week..”
At any rate, maybe I will do this on the next machine.
