I've just bought second hand and I'm thinking how to raise it to match the mft and cs 50.
I'd like to mantain its portability.
Any ideas?

You can make a cart with two wheels and attach the Basis Plus base to the cart so that you can roll it around when you lift the front slightly. Then also put the dust extractor in/on the cart. My brother made exactly that for his Basis Plus.

I don´t get it...
Any chance of posting a pic?

Hmm, I might have a 10 year old pic somewhere, but that is gonna take forever to find. My brother is probably already asleep (it's 0 am here) so I made you this fake 3D paint sketch of the side view;

(text continues below picture)
[attachimg=1]

Green = wheel
Brown = wooden cart (I think he used plywood)
Gray = Festool Basis plus
Blue = rope (or your favorite way to fix the Basis Plus to the cart so the cart lifts with the Basis Plus.
Black = floor

If you slightly lift it up on the right side, the wheels touch the floor and the whole thing can be carted around. Use swivel wheels to get the most cart-around freedom. But do watch out for reduced height when swiveling.

Another family member has the same construction for a CS50, but without an increase in height so it matches the CMS, MFT.
Basis Plus is hernia-height yeah...

Thanks! That´s claver and easy. I was thinking in something that doesn´t need another piece to carry around
But I´ll keep this in mind.

I guess it depends on how you use the Basis Plus. This Basis Plus on Cart basically never leaves it's garage. The CS50 sometimes does but then the cart stays.

I need to wrap up all the tools after every proyect...  [sad] lack of space

Oh yeah, then his bigass cart might not be a good idea.
