Is there a possibility of making chargers and NiCad batteries (BPH 12T) available for this series of drill.  Perfectly fine drill that I would hate to throw away.  I've rebuilt the packs but it's not really optimal.  Or better yet, some migration path that would allow us to migrate to the new drills and keep our chucks and accessories.

I very much doubt that Festool will make new NiCd batteries.

The Fast Fix chucks should all still fit a new drill.

There is ZERO chance festool will re-start manuf. ni-cad batteries and especially chargers.  The technology has been written into the past.

You can pick up compatible packs on big river or fleabay for around $60ea. that'll keep you moving forward with no hassle and little wait.

I'd suggest facing reality and just get a new drill that's got better battery tech and a brushless motor.  If you're a savvy/patient shopper you can get one for little more than the cost of 2 FT batteries.    If your set on the D-handle version I'd suggest this:

If you're not wed to the D-handle I like this better plus, it's cheaper:https://www.boschtools.com/us/en/boschtools-ocs/cordless-drill-drivers-gsr12v-300fcb22-202156-p/

add a 6.0Ah battery pack and it'll run circles around a comparable FT drill.https://www.boschtools.com/us/en/boschtools-ocs/batteries-chargers-starter-kits-gba12v60-189962-p/
