Battery charger signals

I just purchased a new battery for the pdc 18 quad drill .
I placed the battery on my charger the middle light started to flash green and after about 1 hour the light turned solid yellow.  Is this a problem.! The drill works fine and the light works on the battery
Anyone have any thoughts

The yellow light means the charger is alright and ready to be used when there's no battery present.

The flashing green light means a battery is present and is charging as it should. When the battery is full the light should turn solid green, not yellow.

So what you describe is a bit odd, but not directly a huge cause for concern. Charge some more batteries to see if this happens more consistently or is just a one-off. If it happens more often you'd best contact Festool's service department.

I checked another battery and it works properly I believe that the new battery was not properly seated on the charger

That was my first thought. It can take a good push to make sure it is fully seated.
