Battery charging instructions for C15 Li don't make sense to me

Probably just me but I just put my battery on the charger for the first time since it was new. I was down to one light on the indicator. The charger light started flashing fairly rapid green. According to the manual, it says ":battery is charged to maximum capacity" which is not possible. but the other explanations of the charger indicator do not indicate a normal chargeing state. They go from fast green - battery charged to maximum capacity. , slow green - battery charging at reduced rate, lit continuously - battery fully charged. Should fast green say battery is charging to maximum capacity instead of charged ? Can someone clarify what these 3 charging states actually mean?

Thanks

Chris

I checked the international European manual in 14 languages and they put the same mistake in the English translation as what you describe. I could cross reference this with some of the other languages in there.

Fast green flashing means it is charging with maximum current.
Slow green flashing means battery is at 80% full now and is charging the last 20% with reduced current.
Steady green light means the battery is charged to full capacity.

So there's a little mistake in the English translation.

That caught me up also...but if you think it through and figured out what they meant to say...LOL

Cheers,

Just like Alex said, it starts out if the battery is pretty dead on fast green flashing and the flashing slows as the battery gets more charged. When the green light is on and the flashing has stopped, the battery is charged. It's a good idea to take it off the charger then.

Li-Ion batteries tend to hold their charge for a very long time off the charger.

Yellow typically means there's a problem and red is dead.
