Received voucher today for free battery with a basic kit, T18 for me I think.
...rant, I so don't agree with them being sold on eBay! Not sure why, it just bothers me. If I was not buying a new piece I'd be on here offering up my voucher in good spirits for another member to enjoy its merit.

Me neither. I hope no-one buys them, but if they do, then they're an idiot & deserve to be ripped off. If anyone doesn't have one, I'm sure if you just call Festool UK & say you didn't get yours, they'll send one out for you.

I was looking at that very drill @ N&B. Is it any good? I have one of the PDC ones from before Christmas so have most of the accessories.

Have really played with it, but I like the size of it and attachments. Don't need hammer action, have makita 18v sds for that. Thinking of getting Carvex cordless as well.

I've got my voucher today and one question has come up, if I buy a basic kit with said free 5.2 AH Battery, will this charge on my old 3.0AH charger?

The new TCL 3 and the old TRC 3 will both charge the 4.2Ah and 5.2Ah batteries.

IIRC, all batteries, chargers and tools are keyed so that you cannot misuse them - if the battery fits on the tool, it should work; if the battery fits on the charger, it should charge.

I'm more annoyed that i bought a ts55c last month with 4.2ah batteries [crying]

I got mine today. But it states it cannot be used for online purchases  [sad]

So that would mean a trip to N&B which defeats the cost saving of a free battery. My local axminster (nuneaton) store is the closest dealer. But 1 they are now wayyyy to expensive and 2 - they don't stock the basic kits.

It's more accurate that it cannot be "redeemed" online - you can still make an online purchase and send the voucher to your dealer, just make sure you've asked them for their process beforehand.

Internal policies ehh??
Hopefully I should get one in the post as I did buy a sds drill last year.
Thanks

I received a voucher today at my UK address, don't intend to use it so first one to mail me with their address can have.

... and have it got it right, you buy the 'basic' machine, without a charger, and you get a free battery, also without a charger?

And just seen that FFX are accepting the voucher with online purchases if that helps anyone.

That's correct. I guess the assumption is that you already have cordless Festool tools, but the cost of the batteries and the charger went down considerably from 1st January. All part of the POWERSELECT branding.
