The label on the Festool hat says to clean by machine only.  [tongue]

Personally I use a 36mm hose and a Festool brush with a CT to keep my FOG and Festool hats clean.

Do you use the 440404

or the 440403?

Flair, I owm several of each of those brushes. For my hats I use whichever is closest. I also sometimes use the crevice tool.

Great one Chris!  Perhaps when (if) you do read instructions you should take them slightly less literally.    [huh]  [eek]  [scared]  [big grin]  [big grin]  [big grin]  [big grin]  [big grin]

Note to self: Do not buy Festool underwear.

More important note to self: Do not clean Festool underwear while wearing it.

I hear some of the dealers are offering an assortment of different grit sizes for Festool Underwear...

I've read this a dozen times and still don't get it.  Now, for toilet paper, I'd understand...

It has come to my attention that the factory instructions for these hats is lacking. Since I do not have one of these hats myself and cannot confirm the quality of those instructions, I decided to take the personal initiative and look into the need for a Supplemental manual. In an act of selfless valor, I quickly sent a message to the Sr. Vice-president of Festool Marketing to bring this issue to his attention. He didn't immediately understand the need, but on your behalf--all of you Festool end users--I remained steadfast and relentless. It was a tough row to hoe, but my philosophy is to always be cognizant of the needs of the many as outweighing the needs of the one. He finally relented, and agreed that it was necessary to send me one of these hats so that I could properly examine it for potential improvements to the instructions.

No thanks are necessary, guys. It is my honor to serve your needs.
[thumbs up]

That you'll do right away, but the MFK 700 manual is still in limbo (or in German - limbo).

Rick has made the right decision.  I use my Festool hat daily and need to understand how to best care for it.  My MFK-700... I don't even own one!
