Some ideas

- bed ladder hookhttps://www.amazon.com/Ladder-Length-Inside-Clearance-Coated/dp/B012HOJ7PK
-http://www.sweetretreatkids.com/blog/bling-bunk-great-accessories/#.V19SKX_EyrU
- search for j hook in general and you can find something

- make your own out of u or h channel,http://www.mcmaster.com/#9001k48/=12ubxuu
  - drill access hole from one side so you can screw it on. Cut into strips.
- bend you own over a wood template, drill the holes first. Some thing stainless strip might do it
- make one out of wood

Issue with the ikea one is that it's round in the bend not square, thus it will damage the bed.

Two possible choices:

Square coat hooks - it's a style thing, but you can find them if you look.  These might look better than the next alternative.

Over the door hooks (aka robe hooks).  I've used them for just that purpose in the past.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Never though about a square coat hook or a j hook (bed ladder) ... Great ideas
