Been waiting for an RAS 115? The wait is almost over.

Just curious, why doesn't the RAS have a plug it cord?

Are there any plans to update the RAS to have a plug it cord?

Kodi,

I think that this has been answered before, but not sure.  I think that the original design of the RAS was before the introduction of the plug it cords and the design has just not been updated yet.  I believe that it was also stated that when or if the RAS was redesigned, then it would go to the plug it cord.

You're right again, Peter...

The Deltex and RAS are so good they are holdovers from pre-plug-its.

I have the RAS 115 for over an year now and it has become one of my basic take along tools for any project involving wood, paint, flooring, etc.. I will put it in the same category as the Fein multimaster, till you have one you don't know how good it is. It has saved me so much time on so many project, I can nearly bring myself to say it is under-priced [crying]. The pad has a tendency to overheat and you have to learn how to pace yourself and give the pad the chance to cool down every so often. On the other hand you don't need to put much pressure on the pad when you are using Saphir and that will reduce the overheating.

A great little gem.
