This is new to me but Bessey has released an inexpensive adapter dog kit that's designed to allow their self-adjusting toggle clamps to be retrofitted so they can be held stationary in 20mm holes with the base resting directly on the surface of the table (rather than requiring an additional elevated DIY or aftermarket base plate):

From Bessey:

A short video showing the Bessey MFT clamp adapter in action:

They also released complete clamp/dog kits (that include the adapter w/a clamp):

In addition, they are also producing an inexpensive adapter that allows their existing range of clamping elements to be modified for use in 20mm holes:

From Bessey:

And, from Bessey North America [Note: this is the version for 16mm holes]:

Pretty neat!

Anyone know a US distributor for both kinds of adapters?

The toggle clamp conversion is just a 20mm rod cut into sections, drilled and tapped with a bolt and thumb screw included. Bit of work, but nothing a home-gamer with a drill press, grinder/metal file, hacksaw and a tap shouldnt be able to do.

A wooden dowel will work fine. It's just a spacer, no need for tapping.

Ah, and then a nut and washer on the bottom to hold it on? Gotcha, even simpler! As long as it isnt tricky to find 20mm dowel rod. Never tried.

Relatively easy to make should you have a router table and a 10mm rounding bit.

They now also sell it in a kit, the Bessey STC-S-MFT;

Looks like a perfect buddy for the Festool #201311

It seems however this Bessey kit is just dumped into a Systainer with a foam layer on the bottom, no real inlay. Or am I wrong?

I was also happy to see the custom baseplates and associated prices gone. Although I have to give credit to those that made and bought those, Bessey had to copy the idea from somewhere after all.

Looks like that Bessey kit is NAINA, at least not yet.

Nice! Let us know if it has an insert please.

I considered ordering one, but I'm secretly hoping the price will drop a bit. And while finding this I also crossed a set of Bessey REVO KREV clamps. I can almost hit myself... that would have been soo useful for pretty much everything I build.

I paid 280,86 Euro for it. List is over 500, so…
BTW, did you check out Zamro[dot]nl? Their Bessey prices can't be beat. And although they don't have the set, they do sell REVO's.

Zamro doesn't have the KREV, not even the KRV, they only have one version of the KR... if you want to wait 3 weeks, lol. I don't particularly like such shops. I'm pretty sure I can get them for the same price from local pickup at a specialized shop.

Ha, just snatched the last of them. But I'm pretty sure I paid €279,87

Amazon is too dumb to calculate the VAT right. They show prices with German VAT (19%), but at checkout they show prices including Dutch VAT (21%), so it gets bumped from €280,86 to €285,58. Then they give you a discount for the difference, which they calculate as 0,02 multiplied by the price including 21% VAT... So 285,58 - 0,02*€285,58 = €279,87

Right!
Black Friday SSD deal was €221,23 that way instead of €222  [big grin]

Sauter (Germany) does a special promotion on account of X-Mas:https://www.sautershop.de/bessey-schnellspanner-systainer-be-stc-s-mft

Price is a very tempting € 249,00 - Offer is valid till end of year.

BTW The set I bought thru Amazon was short one part. I sent an email to Bessey and the shipped it to me pronto (free of charge). That is the kind of product support I appreciate!

If you are out for the maximum, you could return the set to Amazon for free (!?), order the one that's 249,- (+10 shipping, -5 if you pay by wire transfer so €254 total), and save €25,90. (Or if you already used your set; buy the €249(+5) set, return that to Amazon.) But that would be a bit on the scroogy side.

I didn't even unpack my set yet. There is a whole stack of boxes I didn't unpack yet [blink]. Actually a stupid move on my part, as I've had quite a few packages with wrong /missing stuff delivered lately.

What part was missing in your set?

About the €249 offer; It says "Das Türchen bleibt 3 Tage lang für Sie geöffnet. Danach gelten wieder die regulären Preise.". Suggests to me it ends before the end of the year.

[member=8955]Coen[/member]  Too much hassle to return it etc.
Missing part was the connector set (bolt, knob and 19 mm rod-thing).
Sauter action is all Advent-offers 'reopened' until end of year.

I guess the sets with the baseplates are not gonna sell very well now.

I'm now glad I bought the Festool 201311 and now that Bessey set.

I think Amazon returns are pretty easy. Come to think of it; I never returned anything to Amazon. I was late to pick up something from the DHL postoffice in Germany once that got returned automatically and was refunded properly. That was delivered in that postoffice because the Packstation was out of service. When I arrive in Emmerich it turned out they just closed the postoffice for an hour for lunchbreak...  [big grin]

EDIT: Amazon says; "We hope you can comprehend that we cannot retroactively reduce prices. You also have the possibility to return the item."

Unpacked some stuff; The helmet I ordered was advertised with wrong pics, now I have the irritating pinnlock instead of the ratchet version (I should have known, burried in the text it said 'pinnlock'). And the safety gloves, advertised as "8 pair" are actually "3 pair", but Amazon responded within half an hour saying; 'You can keep the 3 pair, we will send you a full replacement of the item.' I wonder if they will send me 3 pair again  [big grin]
