Bessey KBody Revo Sale at Lowe's

I wish HD would start carrying Bessey.  I much prefer the orange to the navy...

Our HD dumped all the non Irwin rapid clamps and added all the Bassey clamps

My local Lowe's only had two 24" and one 40" Bessey KBody clamps left.  The other stores in our area seem to be out and I think this is going to be a discontinued item at Lowe's.  If your want one at this price, get them soon.

Jack

In my travels today I stopped at two local Lowes and cleaned them out. Picked up one 24" and three 50" K body. I paid $39.99 for the 50s and got the 24 marked down to $20 because of a missing end cap. Not too bad of a deal [wink]

I drove 20 miles to the closest and then another 20 to the next closest.  Oh boy.....    what a sale.......  to the sound of crickets chirping in the distance.

An AMAZING 2$ off on the k-body clamps at one store and an even more amazing NOTHING OFF at the other store!  Standard retail price.  They had knocked a dollar or two off on the smaller clamps.

They are clearing them out but apparently they are content to do it sssssslllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwlllllllllllllllllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

No loss.  The close one is on the way to the far one and I needed to check out the maple ply at the far one.

I was at my local Lowes and not remembering what others paid, I passed up on the same priced items. However, I did clear out the stock, a whole 4, of 24" Tradesmen's for about 45% off; yes, Germany. They had 1 12" Tradesmen at 1 dollar off. Yeah, right...

Maybe I will stop by tomorrow and see if they are still there.

Got 4 each of the 40" and 24" clamps at Lowes this weekend. Not sure if they're the same price everywhere, but I got the 40"ers for $36 and the 24"ers for $28. Compared to Rockler, I save about $180.

Hope someone else can find the same deal!

I got a few 50" for $30.00. A few 40" German made tradesmans a for $26. They had some 24" tradesmans left for $20 I might go back for.

Unless theres inventory hiding up in a bin somewhere theres no Tradesman clamps left in the Sacramento area Lowes, they all found their way to my shopping cart. Now to find where to get those red pads on the cheap, most were missing.

I bought a couple of items yesterday at my local Lowes, but most of the clamps were gone.  There is another thread that is in photography section that talks about the clamps and I listed what I bought.

This morning, I went to another Lowes and was surprised at the amount of inventory they had, so after about 30 seconds of debating, I grabbed a cart and bought out certain items.  The list:

2-3/4 pipe clamps, I asked if they would match what I paid yesterday, and they did, $2.80 each
2-24" DuoKlamps @ $8.95 each
2-40" Tradesman @ $9.07 each
2-24" Tradesman @ $8.39 each
2-12" Tradesman @ $7.83 each
2-magnetic vice jaws @ $3.57 each

The tradesman are all made in Germany.

Again I am happy with the deal I got.  I may keep checking back to see if prices go lower on other items.

I got an email from Home Depot this morning advertising Bessey clamps.  It looks like they switched from Lowes to the BORG.

Those are great prices. Those who paid much more should take the receipt back to the store.

I spent about $110 May 29. A few days later I found the prices cut in half or better.
Took the receipt back and got a refund of $64.

I spoke with a Tool dept guy. He said prices are set by the district but I found a store
in the same district that had not yet reduced prices on one item so you really have to go look.

The irony is that if you clear out the inventory one day the store has no motivation to lower the price the next day.

I agree about the district thing, but I also believe it is inventory level as well.  When I asked about the pipe clamps, she asked the manager and the manager asked how many were left, I said these were the last 2, so she matched the price.  I noticed that prices were different, yesterday I got the clamp on vice and the drill press vice for $11.  The Lowes I went to this morning showed the price at $21 for the pair.

Between both days of shopping, I spent about $105.

I think you're right, was just at Depot and saw the new Bessey displays

What were the prices at Home Depot?

About the same as they were at Lowes. Before the sale, of course.

The German made Tradesman clamps are a bit higher than they were at Lowes.

This might be a silly question but how can I tell where my K body Revo's are made?  I looked everywhere on the clamp and don't see China or Germany.

Cheers. Bryan.

Mine were indicated on the label, some said china, and some Germany but I also noticed a weight difference.

As mentioned the country of origin is on the card label close to the UPC code.

From my experience with the stuff at Lowes:

the Revo parallel clamps will say assembled in the US using imported components

The tradesman clamps are from Germany. Those are the heavier duty F style bar clamps that have a 4 inch throat depth.

Any bar clamp that has a clutch or release on the part with the screw is usually from China.

I just noticed that 4 of the clamps were missing the pads.  I gave Bessey a call and they are shipping out replacements, so if anyone else is missing parts, it may be worth a call.  I did mention they were bought from Lowes.
